Vaseline Can be used as lipgloss, make-up remover, hair smoother/glosser (make sure you only put a very tiny amount on your palm, and then smooth lightly over finished hairstyle, it will keep the style in place as well)

Bronzing powder eyeshadow

Intensive moisturisers cuticle softeners for hands and feet

Eye Cream lip balm

Baby Oil eye make-up remover, bath oil

Baby lotion make-up remover, face, body and hand moisturiser

Facial sprays pre-styling hair dampener and/or conditioning spray

Pink/Rose/Coral lipstick or gloss cream blush (just dab lightly though and be sure to blend it into your skin)

Clay face masks hand/foot masks

Exfoliating Cream shaving cream (it will make your legs silky smooth)

Cream coloured Eyeshadow under eye concealer (dab your foundation on top)

Hand Cream shaving cream (will also make your legs silky smooth)

Eyeliner eyebrow pencil (just make sure it’s one or two shades lighter than you’re actual eyebrow colour) lip liner (also make sure it’s a light brown or a colour that will match your lipstick)

Clear Mascara eyebrow gel

So next time you run out of your expensive make-up remover or have just used the very last of your under eye concealer, just remember that you have something in your make-up bag or cupboard that will fix the problem.

In case you haven’t heard the good news, chocolate can boost your health, beauty and happiness!! Just a couple of squares of dark chocolate brings you vitamins and minerals – including potassium, magnesium and iron. All of these substances can cheer you up and keep you looking and feeling younger for longer. Chocolate is also thought to have protective powers that could also help to reduce blood pressure as well as ward off degenerative diseases, such as cancer, heart disease and arthritis.

And if you’re one of those people that turn to chocolate for a mood boost, never fear, research has shown that this could be good thing because chocolate contains chemicals that can help fight the blues. But don’t overdo it; if you can, just opt for a square or two of very dark chocolate with 70% cocoa solids, like Cadbury Old Gold Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa - it has the benefits of a larger bar of milk chocolate, with a lot less fat. Munching on chocolate can also be a way to boost flagging energy, because it contains sugars and fats that your body can metabolise quickly and substances such as theobromine and caffeine that helps to increase your energy and focus as well as phenylethylamine which is thought to stimulate your brain. If you need to beat the afternoon slump have a couple of squares of dark nut chocolate with a cup of tea. The nuts in the chocolate will help to curb your hunger pangs.

If you’ve been fighting free radicals that can cause aging then dark chocolate contains antioxidants that help to neutralise the free radicals that attack body cells and damage collagen. If you want to indulge and treat yourself to something a bit special, then why not book in for a chocolate spa facial which promises rejuvenating anti-aging effects. The treatments use fine grade cocoa powders containing vitamins and minerals that fight anti-aging and stimulate cell renewal.

However, if the chocolate facial sounds a little too extravagant then perhaps using a cocoa butter based products such as Palmers Cocoa Butter New Facial Care range to treat your skin might be more practical. Cocoa Butter which comes straight from the cocoa bean, is a fabulous treatment for rough, dry skin. It is a rich natural emollient that melts at body temperature, so it glides smoothly over the skin where it imitates the natural lipids and helps to defend the moisture barrier. Cocoa butter is commonly used in the cosmetic industry due to its softening and nourishing effects. It is often found in products such as lip balms, cleaners, moisturisers and scrubs. One of our favourite products for body moisturising is also Palmers Cocoa Butter Body Lotion It is quickly absorbed by the skin to give long-lasting moisture. The sweet aroma of cocoa butter is slightly chocolately so it can help to lift your mood as mentioned above.

So no need to be battling with guilt over having chocolate after dinner or in the afternoon when you’re suffering from 3.30itis, because feeling bad about eating chocolate is bad for us, and guilt produces as many negative effects as pleasure does positive. Just remember not to over-indulge and that moderation is the key – you don’t want to become addicted to a good thing…….that’s a whole other blog post.

Till next time…..

This is the first blog post from Oh! tillie for 2010 on the first day of 2010 and for those of you who were up all night celebrating the new year we thought we would help you through the next few days by giving you some tips on how to fool your friends and family into thinking you’re fresh- as- a- daisy with our guide to covering up a sleepless night.

Step 1- REVIVE SKIN

To revive your skin start the morning with a facial exfoliator and/or a soothing mask. Look for products with camomile or aloe vera such as Aloe Gentle Exfoliator from The Body Shop. Products with these ingredients have calming, anti-inflammatory properties which will increase the blood flow to your face.

STEP 2 – REFRESH EYES

Eyes show off a late night more than anything so it’s vital to brighten them up again. Get rid of redness with eye drops and pat on a cooling eye gel such as Biore Cooling Eye Gel . If you have some extra time on your hands, lie down and wear a chilled eye mask and relax for ten minutes.

STEP 3 – CONCEAL AND FAKE RADIANCE

Only apply concealer and foundation on blotchy or darkened areas such as under your eyes and don’t be tempted to add too much as too much base can accentuate fine lines on dry and dehydrated skin. Now add a touch of blush on your cheeks and highlighter on your cheekbones for a fresh, dewy finish.

STEP 4 -BRIGHTEN EYES

Curling your lashes will instantly open up the eye area and make eyes appear wide awake, but remember to keep the focus on the top half of the eye and away from the lower half where darkness is more prominent. Line your upper lid with brown or black liner and your lower lid with a cream liner. Add two coats of black mascara to your top lashes, but just comb through the bottom ones with clear mascara.

STEP 5 – HYDRATE SKIN

If you have a long day ahead of you and would like your skin to appear dewy all day, keep a rose water spritz on hand like Jurlique Rose Water Spray . Not only will it hydrate your complexion all day, it will help make-up to stay fresh. As for your neck and décolletage, give them a light veil of moisture as well.

STEP 6 – ELIMATE TOXINS

Lastly, if you’re whole body is in need of a wake-up call, disperse toxins with a natural body bristle brush. Work up your body in long, gentle sweeping strokes in the direction of your heart.

So there you have it, the six steps to breathing life back into your skin the morning after a late night. Follow these refreshing pick-me-ups and cover up any tell-tale signs with well-applied make-up.

Happy New Year everyone and here’s to 2010. May the year bring with it health, happiness and beauty tips and trends that will make us all look and feel fabulous!!!

Oh! tillie

xxx

Have you ever watched daytime soap operas and wondered why the actor’s hair always looks immaculate, shiny and lustrous?? Apart from the fact that they have on set hair dressers following them around, they probably have an effective hair-care routine as well. It’s more than likely they don’t neglect their locks by leaving them to the ravages of sun; surf and sweat like the rest of us do, but never fear, you too can have a great hair day, everyday with the use of the right products and some tender loving care.

Finding the best cut, colour and haircare for you – and your lifestyle isn’t always easy but it’s actually never been easier to achieve salon results at home thanks to the array of brilliant products on the market and the expert advice provided by your hairdresser when you do visit them. No longer is the diagnosis of ‘split ends’ the end of your hair analysis, it’s almost guaranteed that your hairdresser, if asked will go into far more detail about your type of hair and its individual needs. However, only you can ensure that your hair is being looked after on a daily basis and the first step to shiny happy hair is to get yourself healthy, both physically and emotionally. Make sure you’re always eating well, getting enough sleep, exercise and plenty of fresh air, because your hair needs oxygen too. We often forget that the stress of daily life can result in hair that is dry, brittle and lifeless so therefore it is essential that you try and reduce stress levels wherever possible, because remember healthy hair depends on a healthy scalp and a healthy scalp comes from having healthy skin.

Healthy cells, be it skin cells or hair cells need the correct nutrients in order to function properly and there are a number of foods that can contribute to feeding your hair the right diet and they are:

· Fresh vegetables

· Yoghurt

· Wholegrains

· Almonds

· Figs and dates

· Olive oil/ Sesame Oil

· Pumpkin Seeds/Sunflower Seeds

· Fish

· Pure Water

As well as supplements such as, vitamins B, C and E, fish oil, linseed oil and zinc.

Hormonal fluctuations, weather extremes and pollution can also affect the condition of your hair and here are some other hair villains that can cause some serious damage:

· Bleaching, tinting

· Hair straightners, curling tongs

· Blowdrying at a high temperature

· Too much brushing with a sharp bristled brush

· Head and neck tension, which disrupt the supply of vital nutrients

· Anxiety, depression

· Crash dieting

· Some pharmaceutical drugs including antibiotics and sedatives

· Illness, shock and trauma

· Smoking

Even if you have been attacked by one or more of the above hair villains never fear, as your hair is not beyond repair. Start with a regular deep conditioning treatment to restore the health of your hair. Once a week, massage a treatment into your hair, such as Charles Worthington Takeaways Mineral Hair Spa. Wrap your hair in a warm towel, and leave it on for 30 minutes then rinse. If you find that there is no improvement after four weeks, seek professional help as your hair may require a series of salon treatments or perhaps in more serious circumstances you may need to see a doctor or dermatologist if you have long-term or acute hair problems.

FA (Hair)Q’s

I’ve just been swimming in chlorinated water, how do I get the ugly green tinge out of my hair? First of all try and restore your hair’s blonde tones by rinsing it in mineral or soda water, the bubbles will help to lift out the chlorine. Alternatively try rinsing your hair with tomato or cranberry juice – the red pigment will neutralise the green tinge: simply pour the juice through your hair, leave for a couple of minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

How quickly will I see results after I start using intensive conditioners or hair masks? You should see immediate improvements but long -term results require frequent use of the conditioners or masks. Make sure you apply them once or twice a week.

I notice that there are still some 2-in-1 products available, will they do the trick? Yes, if you’re in a hurry try Nature’s Organics 2- in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner, but if you use any 2- in-1 product on a long-term regular basis, your hair may not get all the conditioning it needs.

Is it necessary to shampoo, rinse and then repeat? Unless you have been caught in a dust storm, or frequently trail your hair through mud, double shampooing your hair is generally unnecessary. So why do they suggest the double shampoo technique on the back of the bottle? Well, because shampooing twice uses twice as much shampoo. Think about it.

Is sitting out in the sun in summer with lemon juice in my hair a natural way to lighten it? The acidity of lemon juice combined with sun exposure will dry out your hair just like any unnatural blonding method and it’s more than likely to sting your scalp as well.

Is my hair alive? Your hair is made from protein cells that are totally and utterly dead. The only part of your hair that is alive is the root.

What is the best way to wash my combs and brushes? Try and wash combs and brushes that are used frequently – once a week with warm water and a little shampoo. Or dissolve a tablespoon of bicarbonate soda in warm water, add a little antiseptic and allow the brushes to soak for about 15 minutes, then rinse and leave to dry.

Anti-dandruff shampoos don’t seem to be working for me, are there any alternatives?

You can make your own anti-dandruff tonic, with equal quantities of mouth-wash and witch hazel . Shampoo, and then apply conditioner to the ends of the hair only. Rinse well, dry gently with a towel and, before styling, sprinkle the mixture all over your scalp. Comb through and leave for half an hour and then rinse with warm water.

Hopefully, some of your hair myths have been demystified. Just remember, as superficial as it sounds, your hair is the first thing that people notice, and it usually portrays your sense of style, personality, possibly even your age and social status, so make sure you always set aside some time to achieve soft, healthy, lustrous, touchable, moveable hair like the characters in your favourite soap opera.

Till next time………….

Oh! tillie xxx

Here are some resolutions that are simple and easy to follow through with:

I will take my make-up off every night

There’s no point looking glamorous on a night out only to wake up with clogged pores and blemishes the next day because you have forgotten or have been too lazy to take off your make-up. Fiddling around with different cleansers can be annoying after a late night but with facial wipes available to suit all skin types, there really is no excuse to fall asleep with a full face of make-up.

I will NOT wear make-up to the gym

As tempting as it may be to walk into the gym looking fabulous and to try and fool the spunky guy in the boxing class that this is how you naturally look; wearing make-up to the gym is kind of silly. Not only does it come across as though you’re slightly vain and trying just that little bit too hard, but it’s also not a wise move in regards to the upkeep of your skin. Think about it, the more make-up you wear the greater the chance of your skin becoming oily, therefore producing blemishes, therefore resulting in you having to wear more make-up to the gym to impress boxing class guy. It’s a vicious circle. If you really can’t bare the thought of leaving the house without any make-up, limit the application to clear mascara, perhaps a light brown or white eye-liner to brighten your eyes and a tinted lip balm. That’s it. You don’t want to be the woman with the ruby red lipstick and rouge in the corner of the gym doing squats. Not a good look my friends, not a good look.

I will exfoliate once a week

Exfoliating isn’t as essential as cleansing and moisturising but it should still be an integral part of any skin-care routine. The reason being is because as we get older, the process of skin renewal slows down and dead skin cells can build up, leaving your face look grey and tired. To help new skin cells push their way up to the surface of the skin from the lowest level of the epidermis we need to exfoliate weekly. You’ll notice that it reveals a plumper, fresher, smoother, more radiant skin surface. Just remember to always use a facial exfoliator and never one intended for your body, it will be too harsh for the delicate facial skin. Exfoliating should never hurt and always rinse your face properly.

I will have a weekly facial mask

There is no need to spend hours at the beauticians or spend hundreds of dollars on expensive facial treatments. These days store-bought masks are of excellent quality and are quick and effective. Just make sure you are using the correct mask for your skin type. If you have oily skin, look for a clay or mud mask which is deep cleansing in order to stop blocked pores forming. If you have dry skin apply a hydrating, moisture-boosting gel or cream mask to plump up skin cells, while combination skin types can use both deep cleansing and hydrating mask or a light exfoliating peel mask. Just remember to leave to mask on for no longer than 20 minutes and don’t fall asleep with it on as you don’t want to appear as though as you have had an at home chemical peel.

I will always moisturise

Apart from the obvious benefits to using a moisturiser such as smoothing and hydrating your skin, moisturising makes blending foundation and concealer easier. There are so many moisturisers available on the market that there is really no excuse for running out of the house moisturiser-free. Even if your face feels soft and supple after cleansing and you probably don’t feel like applying a moisturiser especially in the warmer months, it’s still a really important part of looking after your skin. Opt for an oil-free gel formulation or non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) moisturiser if you don’t like the weight of more common moisturisers on your skin. Follow the product’s instructions (rather than just slapping onto your face) by massaging it all over your skin with your fingertips to boost circulation and remember to apply the moisturiser onto your neck as well, as your neck often shows the first signs of aging. And if you can, try and purchase a moisturiser containing SPF 15 or higher.

I will stop smoking which in turn will benefit my skin

This resolution may sound more like a New Years resolution but there is no need to wait until January to start improving your health and your skin.

Smoking really does have a harmful effect on skin; it is the second largest cause of skin damage (after sun exposure). How this works is: Nicotine constricts the blood vessels in the face and decreases the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the epidermis. Smoking also causes wrinkles around the mouth and eyes from repeated pursing of the lips and squinting. Let’s not forget smoker’s breath either. So if the nasty pictures on cigarette packets aren’t enough to turn you off smoking then maybe the damage it’s causing to your youthful good looks is enough to make you give up forever.

Hi Everyone,

I thought we would steer away from the make-up talk this time and discuss an issue that has been close to my heart for years. That issue being ”Why are Celebrities on the cover of magazines and not Models”.

I have been an avid reader of magazines since the age of ten and yes, I still have every single magazine I have ever bought, which equates to lots of closet space to cater for the hundreds and hundreds of glossy mags that I have been hoarding.

I remember the days when I used to mull over which magazine I should buy, purely due to the fact that I couldn’t decide which supermodel I preferred on a certain cover. These days, apart from the magazines that I buy religiously such as Grazia; the way I decide on which one to purchase is to try and decipher which celebrity on which cover I dislike the least.

Celebrities such as actors, singers and even sports personalities, already have an occupation, so why do they need to have a second job posing for magazines? What are the models supposed to do to gain exposure? I’m sure runway modeling pays well, but how are we ever going to know the models names like we did in the 80’s and early 90’s? I noticed things started to change around 1995 – that’s when the celebrity ‘Cover War’ began. If we ask any Magazine Editor I’m sure their reply would be that the readers want to see actors and singers on the front of their favourite magazines but I beg to differ. Society only wants to see what they are told to see and what the media makes them focus on, so I say lets bring the focus back onto the Supermodels and Models in general.

Don’t get me wrong, I am the biggest fan of pop culture but everything has its place in the world and I believe that the Models belong on the cover of magazines and the celebrities belong on TV. There should be no cross-over! Models should never try and act either. There should be a definite division between the professions.

For those of you old enough to remember the 80’s and 90’s or for those of you who are just Supermodel obsessed, here are just some of the Supermodels that were super popular way back when:

Paulina Porizkova -

Christy Turlington -

These women represented glamour and style and everything that was the 80’s and 90’s and I would love to find out who the first Magazine Editor was that decided to put a Celebrity on the cover! What was the Supermodel’s demise? Was it the ill fated Fashion Café? Was that it? Was that what made society lose respect for models across the board? Did we not want to think of models as having enough brains to venture into business? If that’s the case what was the deal with Planet Hollywood? You’re telling me that Celebrities can run a restaurant but not Models?

As you can see, I am very passionate about this. I realise that there’s Giselle and Kate Moss is still around but I want the Supermodels to come back in full force! They don’t have to be the those of yesteryear, just any high fashion model that is stylish and glamorous enough to grace the cover of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire and even Cleo and Cosmopolitan. And for all the Australian editors out there, how about putting the stunning Samantha Harris on the covers of your magazines? How do you know that she won’t sell as many copies as Angelina or Scarlett if you don’t give her chance?

Look, I know it’s a different world to what it was 15 years ago and we no longer have to buy a magazine to find out what’s in fashion and we don’t have to rely on the models to give us something to aspire to - the internet has taken care of all of that, but spare a thought for all the tall girls out there who just want to strike a pose and become well known for it. Who’s going to hire them if Magzine Editors don’t?

I value everyone’s opinion and I welcome all feedback regarding this topic, maybe we can start a petition that we can then submit to all magazine publishing companies out there?????
It’s been a few weeks since Oh! tillie’s last post but from now on we will try and add a new post every couple of days, possibly everyday. So today, we will discuss creating the famous doe-eyed sixties look; in five easy steps.

Before we start though, I would like to cast everyone’s minds back to a time when

Brigitte Bardot

and Twiggy ruled the magazine pages due to their unique take on make-up in the 1960’s. Large, smoky eyes and nude coloured lips was the look everyone was trying to emulate and to this day current celebrities and fashion designers are all using this image to make a statement and we’re going to help you create the same look using Youngblood and Harlotte Cosmetics -so lets get started!

Step 1 - EYE SHADOW use a dusky grey or charcoal coloured eye shadow and lightly sweep it over your lids and into the socket. Depending on your eye colour you can even use eye shadows that have a blue base such as Youngblood’s Raven or if you really want to make your eyes pop check out Younblood’s Eggplant or Sedona.

Step 2 - EYELINER Harlotte’s Smudge Eyeliner Pencil is fantastic for boosting the impact of your smoky eyes. You’ll be able to create a bold black line, in a single stroke. Just draw a line along the upper and lower lashes and then gently smudge the lines for a sexy finish!

Step 3 - MASCARA Pile on plenty of Harlotte Lash Candy Mascara. Two or three layers will give your eyes the finishing touch.

Step 4 - BLUSH Oh! tillie has an amazing range of blush, so for the 60’s look make sure you opt for a pale pink or apricot blush to subtly define your cheeks, becuase we want to keep your eyes the main focus. Colours we would recommended are: Tulip, Dusty Pink and Coral Reef in the Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blush range, Petal or Nectar in the Youngblood Pressed Mineral Blush range and Frisky Pink and Peach Frenzy in the Harlotte range.

Step 5 - LIPS If you’re used to wearing a red or dark lip colour, now is the time to experiment with your look and be brave, because nothing looks sexier than smoky eyes, teamed with a nude pout. First of all, line your lips with a nude liner, ( Harlott’e’s Naked Beige or Naked Pink Lipliners are perfect for this ). Fill in the remaining area with a pale lipstick like Harlotte’s Skinny Dip, Pure, Brides Nighty and Starkers and blot for a matte finish or for a bit more glamour cover the entire lip with Harlotte Lipshine.

So there you have it, all the essentials you’ll ever need to create a 60’s vibe, but just remember, the key is smouldering, smoky eyes and neutral cheeks and lips.

Hi Tillie Blog Readers!

Do you want to enjoy a sunkissed radiance in the winter months but do you dread the streaky orange effect? Well, dread no more because today I thought we would discuss the many different formulas available that give skin a variety of finishes.

Luckily for us, cosmetic companies have improved their formulas so much over the past decade that you can easily avoid that streaky orange look. We have come along way since since the days when a golden complexion came from the sun’s damaging rays - you just need to get your head around what’s available and what is the most suitable for your skin tone. ’But I have very fair skin’ I hear you say…….that’s ok, you can use bronzer no matter what skin tone you have and the key to achieving a natural finish is not only choosing a lighter shade but choosing a shade that has a shimmer, with golden flecks through out it which will provide a subtle glow. However, all bronzers need to be applied with a light touch (but be careful- the paler your skin, the more care you will need to take with the application). Build the colour up gradually in fine layers using a large brush to buff powder colour over large spaces like your cheekbones, and blend it carefully to keep it looking natural.

Here are some examples of different types of bronzers:

Liquid - A fluid formula best applied with your fingers or a sponge for a subtle colour with or without shimmer. Best for highlighting bone structure, and giving your body sexy sheen. A liquid bronzer is great as it can be added to foundation, body cream or moisturiser, you do need to be quite fast though when applying it as it doesn’t blend as well once semi- dried nor does it blend well with a matte base.

Tint - A gel or watery liquid that provides ultra- sheer colour, it is lightweight and long lasting and creates a natural finish on flawless skin. If however, it is coverage that you’re after then the tint provides very little and it doesn’t work on powdery bases.

Powder - This type of bronzer usually comes in a powder compact or bronzer pearls and is best applied with a fluffy brush for a smooth velvety shimmer . It blends easily and is fantastic for building up layers for a stronger finish. It is also great for the decolletage and shoulders.

Cream - A silky formula that provides a dewy finish. It can slide off quite easily but does offer extra moisture for those with drier skin types. It will enhance your bone structure when you are wearing a creamy base.

Loose Powder - This finely milled loose powder bronzer looks best when applied with a brush or powder puff. It will glide on easily and works well over powder bases.

Stick - This is a multipurpose cream stick of bronzer that comes in numerous different finishes and colours. It is great for easy highlighting and sculpting.

If being bronze will help you fight those winter blues, then head over to our shop page www.ohtillie.com.au/shop and check out Youngblood Lunar Dust Shimmer and Youngblood Mineral Radiance Bronzer. While you’re there, have a look at the Kabuki Brushes which will help you create that beautiful bronzed look.

Just remember to keep your bronzer subtle and as a rule only apply it to areas that the sun naturally touches like your cheeks, no forehead, nose and chin. See diagram below.

Eyes cannot lie, they are the most expressive part of your face: Nothing else can communicate who you are, how you feel, how healthy you are and even how old you are; more honestly. And since up to 80% of of the information we receive from the world comes to us through our eyes, it is vital not to neglect them, so focusing on your eyes through the use of make-up can work to enhance your expressions and highlight your mood. But for most women nothing is more daunting than standing at the make-up mirror ready to apply eye shadow but are then unsure of what colours best suit them. So the Oh! tillie blog would like to intoduce the colour wheel as a guideline for which eye shadows will suit your eye colour the best.

Looking at the basic colour wheel, you will notice the colours that run from yellow to red on the wheel match well with warm undertones, which are golden undertones and the colours that run from yellow-green to violet on the wheel match well with cool undertones, which are pink undertones. Therefore to determine what eye shadow colours best suit your eyes look at the colour wheel and find your eye colour. Then, look at the complementary colours on the opposite side of the wheel. The complementary colours are the ones that will enhance your eye color and make your eyes POP! For example, if your eyes are green, one of the complementary colours on the colour wheel is red, so you would choose eye shadows that are in the “red” family, like mauve and plum such as YOUNGBLOOD CRUSHED MINERAL EYE SHADOW in SEDONA or EGGPLANT. But if you are blessed with baby blues then orange is the complementary colour to blue on the wheel, therefore choosing colors that have a golden or peach base will make blue eyes stand out, just like YOUNGBLOOD’S SHIMMER MINERAL EYE SHADOW in GOLDEN BERYL or KASBAH. Since hazel eyes are usually green with some jewel tones in them, then gold and jewel toned eye shadows will look sensational on hazel eyes such as SAGE, GRANITE and IRISH MOSS from the YOUNGBLOOD range. Those with eyes that are brown really are lucky when it comes to choosing an eye shadow. as brown complements almost any colour, so for a super dramatic effect why not try RAVEN in YOUNGBLOOD’S MATTE range or AZURITE in the SHIMMER range. One thing to keep in mind though when you’re selecting make up colors that go well with brown eyes is your skin’s undertone. Is it warm or cool? Following these guidelines will help you choose the best and most striking colors for your eyes and skin tone. Having said all of that, if you want the guess work taken out of choosing separate individual eye shadows then check out YOUNGBLOOD’S EYE PALLET QUADS where you will find nine different quads that can be used to create interplays of complementary colours to bring out your eyes.

However, if smoky eyes with lashings of Mascara and Eyeliner are more your style then the HARLOTTE is the range for you. The amazing SMUDGE EYELINER enables you to create a bold black smoky look with ease by simply drawing a line above the lash line as well as below the eye and lightly blurring the line with your finger and lets not forget that no eye-makeup is complete without mascara, however if you’re still using the same mascara that you were eight months ago it might be time to upgrade. HARLOTTE’S MASCARA is at its best when lashes are coated from very base to the lash tips with full strokes. For ultimately the thickest lashes, coat the lash tip two or three times, you can even wait till after the lashes have dried to re-apply the second and third coats, this will lengthen lashes even further. Also, make sure you concentrate on the outer lashes for an even sexier, more flattering image. Team the smoky eye look with a nude or glossy pout by either applying HARLOTTE LIPSTICK, LIPPIE POT or LIPSHINE and you will definitely turn some heads!
